My girls are always on my heart and mind.  It is rough having only one person in the house really working right now.  We have to come up with rent again by December 31rst. Last month my landlord said if she doesn't get rent by the 1rst the lastest she is going to start the eviction process. DO you know how stressful this is?  I know she can't evict us over prepaid rent which that is what she has when we have to pay by december 31rst for January's rent. We owe 1575 by that date and have no clue when to come up with it. When I called her this time she didn't want to here any excusses even though we said we were going to be late and forcealably (spelling?) have the rent by January 11, 2009. Yes it will be about 11 days late from her due date of rent. When that happens we have to pay an extra 25$ on top of the 1575 when it is after December 31rst. We are though keeping it away from those sweet little girls we have. Trying not to let them see we are stressed.

None of the churches around here have any money to donate just food for people. My landlord doesn't accept things from the city welfare office because they take too long to pay. We have to get a new stove and a refrigerator because well they are gone. The referigerator is keep things cool but the freezer is starting not to keep things frozen. The Stove there is no oven but there are two burners left to work. Lanlord doesn't pay for appliances. She wants everyone to do the work on her properties for her then only gives them the cost of the part and not more off like for labor/time you put into it. SO when we have to spend money and take time off of work because she doesn't want to send her people over or call a plummer for a broken water pipe to fix it she should be charged for it. WE did that one month and she got mad at us and said this isn't what we agreed on. She doesn't care about anyone else except the money and herself.

Have no clue what to do except I do know one thing. I will love my children each and everyday.

it is a hard situation that you are in. My father died two years ago december 2, 2008. The last thing he told me was save me some turkey from thanks giving so I did. He was on oxygen for a about 2 years before he past away. Not saying your dad is going to do this.

It is hard when you owe a bill like that and have to pay it. One thing you need to do is request in writing why they took you off your payment plan. There has to be a reason. They just can not take you off it. You might of just missed a payment. The electric commission should also help you in what you need to do next. But a certified notorized letter requesting that info. Meaning you notorized the letter and then send it certified to them so you have record of who signed it and they recieved it. In this letter you need to put in they need to respond 10 businesss days from the date of the letter. IF they don't respond then you next step is to go to the better business burea BBB.org and file a complaint. 1. stating they took you off the payment plan without notice. 2. they shut you off for that reason. and 3. noone responded to your letter dated on such a such date and you sent it to them certified so you know they recieved it.  The better business bereau will tell you where to go after they got there hands into it.

The Unemployment rate is high right now due to the economy. Some more company's are laying off more people. These people didn't asked to be layed off. It happened. Some of these people were making two to three digits and are now barely making 2 digits. So before you open your mouth and swallow what you are saying, you need to step back and think about it. Ones who judge others have bigger problems in their lives that they need to find faults in others to make themselves feel better.

I just needed to add she has been divorced over about 8 to 9 years or more.

She was nice the first month gave us this speel about how she got burnt by all of her tenants. We told her we were not her other tenants and never had a problem. Then we always if we were late which wasn't too often paid her by either 2nd or 3rd of the month. But if she didn't get it in her hand by the last day of the month prior she was upset.

I just talked to her tonite and she said I have credit issues and I need to keep food on my table. And then she said I didn't get this big house I am in for being rich. I got it for being poor and from my divorce. I wanted to tell her then maybe she needed to cut some things out. I told her she wouldn't get all of the rent till next week.

She doesn';t accept the partial rent which we now have 940 for the 1625. She wants it all. Like I suggested we pay her weekly in the beginning because we arranged that with another landlord we had and rweally miss so much. becausae if you think about it if some of the months had 5 weeks then you would really start paying a bit extra. But she didn't want that.

She just likes the rent there by the last day of the month or she continously calls harrasing us and tells us no excuses. She then states I got burned before they took me for 4000 dollars and this and that.  I just do not know what to do. It is frustrusting.

We are caught up. WE just owe for this month only. Our lease really ins't any good as it is for her house in a different town then this one. But we have rented this house since February of 2006.  There isn't a five day grace period that most landlords give.

I know it gets frustrating...I am behind on my rent now on its forth day because I only have 7 and the bank is allowing fraudelent stuff go through my account which I already have holds on. SO now I have to go and fill out more paperwork.  SOmeday will be a better day. Our landlord we have wants the rent by the last day of the prior month for the next months rent or we have to pay 25$. I just started my new job today for 3.5 hours this job will work around my two yuongest childs father.  All I see is us going backwards. It stinks.

I have asked people to give us loans so we can stay afloat but I don't see anyone right now wanting to give some help. My landlord isn't a nice landlord at all. IT is very said that she wouldn't even take partial rent.

I do not think the banks should be getting bailed out. The bail out money is suppose to be used in order to help out people. If they keep telling people your income is there just not your credit. You have to early credit. Get more credit. How are people suppose to get credit if they just wont lend you the money. What do you think about that?

All the bailouts are doing is making this economy worse. Banks are getting greedier and holding money for themselves. So many people have been turned down.

Yah But that is the best I could do for now...because I ahve been there and I know how it is. It is hard right now because of the economy where there is a lot of jobs being lost. BAE systems are hiring right now for entry level people. Just in my area they are asking for 200 people. There are things out there. Sign up too.As  find things out to help me out I am helping out others. But your first steps are to help yourself out. This means by goign to these places. Yes it takes awhile but in my town they give you a volture for rent if your land lord accepts it.  But sometimes you do need to cut thngs to make it. I had to cut back myself but still Need some help with my rent. I can't cut back on the internet becasue my girls need it for their schooling and so do I. Around here the teachers have the students almost everyday go on the internet.

City Welfare office or the place you can go and get help....call or show up and make an appointment.

State welfare you can walk in generally they like people to show up in the morning becasuse in the afternoon it is usually for recerts.

Local churches and organization..call around some one will help it might not be much but they are willing to help if they have it.

Try not get mixed up in these...but payday loans if you have a job but can cause you to go further into debt. Debt consolidation loans from banks if the banks are willing to give you it.

I am on a month to month lease now and we are a day late on rent. I do not see us comming up with 1575+25 for being late before the 5th of this month. We have 700 of the 1575 but the landlord doesn't accept partial rent she wants the whole thing. I even offered to pay weekly payments in the beginning. WE have 6 children and can not find any other place to live as they do not want 6 chidlren. This month the oven went and our landlord doesn't buy appliances so we have to come up with money to buy a Range and a refrigerator.  I do not like to say this but we have a slum lord. She was suppose to update the electric and fix some other things. She is too busy fixing up her house and not this rental property. Last Nov we were able to get a loan to buy the house but she didn't want that she wanted to do a rent-to-own. WE told her no because our mortgage would of only been 895 without the taxes being excrowed in. So then the economy really took a turn and now for the last few months we are finding it hard to keep up with the bills becasue I am not working but maybe 1 day a month becasue we can not afford to put the two youngest daughters in daycare. I know one of these days there is alight through the long tunnel. Banks do not want to give loans out now they say my other half has to early of credit and needs to get more credit. But we were like if you are all saying taht then how are we suppose to do that. We can afford a loan if all the bills got consilidated meaning the rent for a couple of months, utilities, car payment, and some back bills.

Does anyone know what we can do to get the help financially. My other half makes about 43000  a year. So his income is there just not the credit due to it being to early.

 I am a mother of 6 daughters. My divorce was finalized in 2004. It was 2 years long. I have custody of all of my children. I live with my 2 youngest daughters father but combined income doesn't pay for all the bills. I am looking for some assistance in paying rent this month and next month. I am already 1 day late on my rent which is 1575 so now I have to pay 1625. I have aleady tried with the city welfare although we do qualify my landlord doesn't accept it. I am asking for some help as I do not want to have to be put out on the street for the winter time the shelters hear are maxed out. I can't move into a cheaper place becasue noby wants to take six children they rather just take the adults and one child and the dog.  Any one knows what to do please let  me know thanks.

Go to your local city welfare office and also try and apply for social security. There are local agency that should be able to help you. That is the best I can do
